RevitalizeWA: the 2022 Conference Keynote Jaebadiah Gardner
August 1, 2022 | 1:53 pm. Press release from Washington Trust.
At this year’s RevitalizeWA conference, we’re thrilled to announce that Jaebadiah Gardner, CEO of GardnerGlobal, Inc., will present a keynote address during the opening plenary on Wednesday, October 19!
Jaebadiah’s presentation will focus on ownership. Whether we are discussing preservation or new development in real estate, ownership and access to ownership is a key factor. Drawing from his own experience, Jaebadiah will explore examples of community ownership models and attempt to rewire our thinking around creating accessible, sustainable real estate projects that provide opportunities for individuals from their communities to participate in building wealth.
Jaebadiah S. Gardner is an African-American, Mexican-American businessman, multi-family real estate developer, fund manager, and author and is the founder and CEO of GardnerGlobal, Inc., a private holding company headquartered in Seattle. Jaebadiah earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and later a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Western Michigan Law School. Prior to development, Jaebadiah worked for Turner Construction, building commercial high-rises in downtown Seattle. Since 2009, he has built up a client base of private and nonprofit clients, providing feasibility, pre-development, and development services. In 2021, he launched a $10 million real estate fund and currently has a pipeline of more than 800 units and $210 million in total project costs for urban infill sites in Seattle’s most gentrified neighborhoods. Jaebadiah was recently selected as a 2022-2023 Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC)/Amazon Fellow. His board positions include service with the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, University of Washington Runstad Advisory Board, and University of Washington Multicultural Alumni Partnership Board, of which he currently serves as President.
Jaebadiah’s keynote address will take place during the conference’s opening plenary on Wednesday, October 19 at 4:30 pm. Access to the opening plenary is included as part of conference registration.
